The old ranger has retired from a life of adventure, and settled in the town of Milbourne.  There, not only is he the town carpenter, but serves as the resident lawman.  His upstanding reputation has the wealthy Carmen family looking at him as a Constable to their town; any trouble the townfolk come across gets reported to Garyld rather quickly.
